Eric Schneider joins us to gab about the St. Louis Green Business Challenge, a joint program of the St. Louis Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Botanical Garden. Since its inception in 2010, the program has helped 175 businesses in the St. Louis metropolitan adopt sustainable business practices and engage and educate their employees along the way.
77 of these companies have participated in the program for three or more years and 13 companies have been in the program all seven years of the program. The companies in the program represent more than 150,000 employees.
While there are 40 Green Business Challenges across the country, this is the only Green Business Challenge in the U.S. which is a partnership between a Chamber of Commerce a botanical garden.
