The Host of this Program:
Mark Halstead:
Dr. Mark Halstead received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He stayed at the University of Wisconsin for his pediatric residency, followed by a year as the chief resident. Following residency, he completed a pediatric and adult sports medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He has been an elected member to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness and the Board of Directors of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). He has served as a team physician or medical consultant to numerous high schools, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Washington University, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Athletica, and St. Louis Rams. He serves and has served on many local, regional and national committees as an advisor for sports medicine and concussions. Dr. Halstead is a national recognized expert in sport-related concussions and pediatric sports medicine.

Aaron Gray:
Dr. Aaron Gray is a primary care sports medicine physician at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee, his family medicine residency at the University of Missouri followed by his sports medicine fellowship at UCLA. He has worked with US Soccer Youth National Teams and currently is the medical director for the Integrated Healthcare team at the University of Missouri as well as the Human Performance Institute.

Caitlyn Mooney:
Dr. Caitlin Mooney is a pediatric sports medicine physician who completed her medical school at Vanderbilt University, followed by her pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, followed by her sports medicine fellowship at Rainbow Babies in Cleveland. She currently practices sports medicine in Texas at UT Health in San Antonio.

David Howell:
Dr. David Howell is the lead researcher at Children’s Hospital Colorado Sports Medicine. His is an athletic trainer and received his PhD in 2014 from the University of Oregon and completed a post-doctoral research program at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2017. His research investigates the areas of pediatric concussion and human movement analysis and has authored over 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
