It is a genre that transcends age, sex, color and culture. It can be found in literature, art, music, and film all over the world. Whether it’s located in the blade of an all too real attacker or the razor clawed glove of a sadistic dream demon, the end result is the same…Horror! The mounting tension as we page through the newest Stephen King novel. Our grip tightening on the arms of our seats because we know a jump scare is imminent. The feeling of dread and anticipation we get from hearing two little notes “Da Dum”, knowing our hungry villain is near. Why does Horror give us such a thrill? Why are so many fans torn between what makes up good horror and bad horror? Can one man’s passion for the Horror genre change the worlds narrow perspective? Let’s find out during the inaugural episode of 2GuysTalkingHorror and be sure to tell us what you think!

The Host of this Program:
Nicholas J. Hearne: Blessed with an overactive imagination, Nick spent his early years absorbing as much pop culture as possible. From comic books to television, films, sci-fi, fantasy, horror – if it was great storytelling, he assimilated it! From early adolescence to adulthood, Nick spent his time honing his acting and writing skills, starring on stage and screen across the Midwest. In recent years, Nick has started his own comic book company, Archlight Comics, and is also a founder of Archlight Studios, both with longtime friend Jason Contini, and has become a skilled podcast editor and co-host aboard a number of different podcast efforts.
